the more i try to learn, the more confused i get

working on an ambitious project – http://GlobalPundit.Org …aaanyway, the more navigating and reading I do the more confused I get – whether it’s trying to install something like Flickr, or trying to maximize traffic.

I find it really hard to (aside from installing Plugins, etc.) to discern what the best and most useful programs are for me.

I am complete beginner – never had the advantage of any computers in school etc. – can anyone recommend a way to approach this without staying up all night and overloading my thick skull?

i’m even considering taking one of those ‘web design for morons’ adult ed classes at the local 3rd rate college!

If there is anyone else who was beginning at the beginning as I am, can you tell me how you eventually got your head around all the variations of what I am told is essentially ‘idiot proof’?

Unless i am that special breed of idiot.
