Hi – I was reading through the ‘[resolved] display captions’ post and updated the source file and I am not receiving a ‘Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/content/c/a/r/carrierauch/html/wp-content/plugins/alpine-photo-tile-for-instagram/alpine-phototile-for-instagram.php on line 55’ error and am unable to do anything on my site. It has completely crashed the entire wordpress site – seems totally crazy since I was only in the plugin’s source file not my actual site’s source file. Any help? Or has this happened to anyone else?? Having a slight (major) panic attack.

    Thanks!

Oh no. You should be able to log into your hosting provider and change/remove the file. If you go to the file manager of your hosting provider, there will be a folder in /wp-content/plugins called alpine-photo-tile-for-instagram. You should then be able to edit the file or just delete the entire folder, removing the plugin.

Thanks for such a quick reply – In my frantic state my brain did not think of that. Thank you again for refresher on always going to the root of the problem. Site is back up and running.

No problem. I have crashed my websites many times.
