  • I’d start by deactivating the Sidebar Login plugin, and see if everything works then.

I deactivated the Sidebar login plugin. But now I need a way to login so I added a link in the sidebar to the login page (http://www.johnmmckee.com/wp-admin)

I open a new browser window and visit this page:
    http://www.johnmmckee.com/my-login-welcome-test-page

I still get the “No Results Found” error.

I open a new browser window and visit this page:
    http://www.johnmmckee.com/my-member-options-test-page

I use the link in the sidebar to login and am redirected correctly to:
    http://www.johnmmckee.com/my-login-welcome-test-page

But now I need a way to logout. So on my user profile on the backend I check the box “Show Toolbar when viewing site”. I can use the Logout link there. But the edit profile link doesn’t do anything, which is correct since S2Member doesn’t give them access to the standard WP user profile. I have a separate page with the S2member shortcode so they can update their profile.

If I uncheck the “Show Toolbar when viewing site”, I need to provide a way for users to logout. That’s why I used the plugin.

    So 2 questions:
1.) Why do I still see the “No Results Found”
2.) How do I provide login/logout functionality on free version of S2Member since the widget only comes in Pro version?

    Regards,
    Maria

My suggestions for login/logout functionality are the Sideways8 Custom Login and Registration plugin and/or the BAW Login/Logout Menu plugin. They both work beautifully for me.

As to the “No Results Found” issue, I have just tried putting in random page names beginning http://www.johnmmckee.com/ in my browser, and I get the same result with each of them. I should be getting the Membership Options page. So I suspect there is something you have missed in the s2member back-end, because it seems that s2member isn’t actually protecting your site at the moment.

Thanks for the Login plugin suggestions. I used sideways8 and it works perfectly.

I verified that S2Member was setup correctly, so I tried deactivating plugins one by one and found the problem.

The “No Results Found” issue was due to conflict with Content Aware Sidebars plugin. As soon as I removed this plugin, I can visit random pages and it redirects to Membership Options page.

    Thanks for the assist!

My pleasure — glad you found the problem!

By the way, your own site looks gorgeous!
