Hi, we have event manager and pro.
When the coupon code is entered it shows “10% off” or whatever but it does not pass this discount to paypal.

Also it shows the discount on the booking in the admin, but it does not reduce the final price.

I have deactivated all other plugins and tried switching to the default theme and it still does not work.
Can anyone offer any advice on this?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Since you’re a Pro user, could I ask you to use the Pro forums for this question?

Because it relate to a feature only found in the Pro version, it’s better if we provide support for the issue there. Thanks!

The pro license ran out last year. I’ve asked my client if he wants to pay again, awaiting the answer.

I’m not paying again as I’ve already lost 4 hours of time today. Are you able to supply the answer here please?

    Help appreciated.

Just to clarify, the problem seems to have occured with wordpress 3.8, so I guess its a bug between 3.8 and pro 2.2.9

(being as we changed themes and turned off all plugins so only wp-event manager was installed)

If we can guarantee that this bug has been resolved then I can try to convince my client to pay again.

As far as I know this isn’t a bug, rather it’s a problem specific to that installation. Because of that I can’t guarantee upgrading will fix it, only that we’d work with you to get it working. But we’ll try to do that here as well.

What version of Events Manager are you using?

Is this problem just with one event or all events? Can you use Fixed Amount coupons?

Just spoke to the client, he’s happy to pay if we can be sure it’ll fix it… so any advice here will be most appreciated.

    To confirm:
    EM 5.5.2
    EM Pro 2.2.9
    WP 3.8.1

Tested with default 2012, 2013, 2014 theme – issue remains
Coupons are set as fixed and percentage – issue with both
Tested with all plugins off apart from EM and EMPro – issue remains

Discount shows in bookings admin (edit/view) but no discount is taken from total price. Paypal also shows total price and no discount

Could it be a bug which you never knew about because you are always using the latest Pro plugin with the latest EM plugin?

    Thanks for your help

+ problem is all events – coupons are sitewide

also, related to the coupon code functionality – in the admin “coupon usage history” shows 0.00 for all coupons and no discount. It won’t let you click page 2, 3, 4 etc (blank page) and it won’t let you click edit/view each booking from the coupon history. SO there is some sort of issue related to the pro2.2.9 coupon files and 3.8 admin.

Have you tested with the default theme running, all other plugins and any custom code (in functions.php) deactivated?

    Hi there thanks for reply
Yes I have, see post 3-4 over this one

Are you using Multiple Booking Mode? I’ve just found this bug fix listed from a few versions ago:

Fixed coupon not applying discount to total price in MB mode cart/checkout

Sounds like your issue, I think?

    Hi there
The version we have is just prior to when you introduced multiple bookings . We don’t have that feature. Same issue though!

Same issue here, also running the following:

    EM 5.5.2
    EM Pro 2.2.9
    WP 3.8.1

I have already tested with default 2012, 2013, 2014 themes and tested with all plugins off apart from EM and EMPro and the problem persists.

Any progress on resoling the issue?

    Thanks!

No joy solving it, spent 5 hours the other day unpaid trying to solve it.
Looks like the only solution is to buy PRO again and hope it solves it…. as the developer will not offer usable support as support ends after 1 year.

bobrittany, since you are running EMPro you can re-post your issue in EMPro forum.

    sguk,
EM and EMPro already have dev versions that can solved the issues above.
