    QUESTION 1:
I have blocked ALL except a few countries, yet I still get spammed on my contact form every 10 minutes. Especially from the same email address which has different IPs originating from the Ukraine. The IP’s vary, but the email address is the same. Have I set up the plugin correctly?

(Checked) “Do not block users that are logged in from visiting frontend website:”

(Un-Checked) “Block users from visiting the frontend of your website:”

    QUESTION 2:
Are “users” considered visitors to the site, or are they simply people who have the login information to access the site.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

You have to actually check the “Block users from visiting the frontend of your website” for anybody to be blocked from the frontend. This should solve the spam on the contact form.

Visitors and users are in some way the same thing. That’s why I use them both. But as not everybody “gets” which type of user (a visitor or an editor, or an administrator etc) is meant I will update the documentation and the plugin in a future version.

“Do not block users that are logged in from visiting frontend website” is meant an actual logged in user. So somebody who has access to your backend. So for instance an editor or an administrator.

“Block users from visiting the frontend of your website”: All visitors to the frontend website. If they are logged in or not.

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Just reviewing this plugin for a website we admin and thought I would add some clarification on this issue!

Contact Forms are accessed (and used) in the frontend of your webiste, not the admin section.

So, to block rogues from a certain country accessing – and using- your contact forms, you’d need to block those users from the frontend of your website… or the specific page(s) containing contact form(s).

    Hope this has clarified things.

Interesting info – is there a way to block countries from visiting only certain pages? (i.e. CONTACT page) since that’s really the only page I want them to avoid on the front end.

There is currently no way to allow users to your blog posts but deny them to certain page(s).

In the next update this will be possible however.
