When I log into WordPress as an administrator and click on the “posts” tab, all blog posts are displayed with the oldest first, and the newest last. This is completely backwards, as the newest posts should be at the top.

This same problem is happening on the front end blog – the oldest posts are showing first, and the newest ones last.

I have re-installed WordPress and the problem is still there.

When I click the “pages” tab, the pages load in the correct order, newest pages first. What is wrong with “posts” that’s arranging them backward in both the admin area and on the blog? Please help!

  • try to deactivate all plugins to see if that helps.

Thanks, looking through the plugins I realized my client had added a plugin that was causing the behavior.
