   So I've already figured out how to get the pictures to show up next to the comments, I would love to figure out how to get the photo into a specific section of the side bar (which I read is possible) after someone logs in to the site. I'm just not sure if I have to use any additional modifications since this new command won't be in with the comments or the author.

   How did you get user photos to display?

   i got it installed and it looks like its working, but in the comments i just get a default blue guy, not the image uploaded by the user. i can see the user image if i login to WP and look under users.

   what am i missing?

   the phot is uploaded but not sure where to put the code.

   i don't know what he means by "template tags" or where to put them.

   i know this is a long time ago.. But i have searched the internet thoroughly for the same thing. The best thing i am finding is this google gadget

   friendly connection.
