If a post is set with a future publish date and submitted to the workflow, this is not the default publish date in the publish step of the workflow, but rather it defaults to “immediately”. While “publishing” the post will move it to a state of “scheduled,” this is confusing.

I would also like to be able to force users to submit to a workflow, but also let them set a publish date on the post. Currently, the publish date options are hidden from users who are forced to use the workflow.

I’ll look into adding the above features with one of the future releases.

I’ll let you know if I have any additional questions.

We have added the above feature in the release 1.0.13.

The submit popup now has an additional field called “Future Publish Date”.

If the date/time are specified the same will be displayed on the publish step sign off.
