Everything still default, right? All I could suggest is, re-download, re-upload, re-fresh.

Right,
i was trying to preserve some site structure, and files.
time to take the plunge.
i have one SQL question before i dive in…
what is the sql query to restore a .gz archive of an entire db?
(meaning i backed it up, and now i’m gonna delete them, and start from the top. but it would be so very nice if i could enjoy a restoration of the posts once i’m done with all this)
reading the phpmyadmin docs must be awesome if you know what you’re doing, right?

I have the same issue on my admin panel as well.
If you have this in wp-admin.css of 1.3 then you know what to do, right

This happened to me too the first time I upgraded to WP 1.3 — I just left it alone and starting my regular blogging and admining — and it just suddenly started to work. The thing is, the page was really messed up with the background staying white, etc. Just play around in there until some older database stuff gets set right.
Happened to me too but it went away.
Yeah it happens but in the wordpress readmes it suggests to remove all files from your wordpress directory except configs and index’s etc. If you follow the upgrade that way from 1.2.x to 1.3.x it fixes the admin header problem.
