Custom Error Messages are not displayed

Hello,

we have been using this great plugin now already for a lot of different projects. It usually works fine but now we came across a strange behavoir according to the error messages.

Normally the custom error messages are fine and we don’t need to edit them, but in this case there was only one character displayed. I edited the error messages but after saving there was the same: Only one character was displayed – in the frontend form as well as in the error message fields in the form editor. I have tried to solve the problem by deactivating all other plugins – but this didn’t help either.

Are there any suggestions for a solution?
