    Previous version of the plugin worked. Upgraded. Now I'm the only registered user allowed to edit comments.

    I'm in the editors group. Other users are in the authors group.

    Monkied with the settings and have them as permissive as they get.

    Sorry for the late response.

    Only admin and editors can edit all comments. That's the way it always "should" have been.

    If an author writes a post, and people leave comments on that post, then the author can edit those comments.

    You can also turn on the functionality so that logged in users can edit their own comments indefinitely.

    Hope that clarifies how the editing permissions work.

    I'm having the exact same problem. Editors and above security-level can edit everyone's comments, but regular users can't edit anyone's (including their own). Any ideas?

    Regular users are under the same constraints as anonymous users unless you specify in the plugin settings. The only option you can give them at this point is unlimited editing of their own comments.

    That's what I mean though. I have the anonymous user settings set to "yes" on every option, but anonymous users cannot edit their own comments.

    @Mental,

    I see what you mean. I was able to edit my comment, but only after a refresh.

    This has always been an issue with AEC. AEC initializes upon a page load. Since your comments are being submitted via AJAX, nothing is telling the AEC plugin to initialize.

    What you'll need is to edit your comment-submit script and add the appropriate JavaScript hook.

    Please file a support request and I'll get back with you via there. I'll need to know what theme you're using. If it's proprietary, then I'll at least need to see the script file you use to submit comments.
