I wanted to test the lite plugin prior to purchasing the pro version but find that I can’t use it as it causes page load speeds to slow down to an absolute crawl (a couple of minutes).

I’ve tried to test with the plugin active on GT Metrix and Pingdom and it times out on the former (which I have never seen before) and Pingdom just stops timing it at the 60 second mark.

With all performance optimization (incl WP Total Cache) turned off on the site, the homepage takes about 3 seconds to load without AB Press Optimizer.

The plugin looks fantastic and appears to be exactly what I need.

Are there any known page load speed issues – specifically with the lite version – of the plugin?

    Thanks

No response in 5 days to a pre-sale question. Not a good sign.

    Hi,

Sorry you had bad support before. We’ve recently taken over AB Press Optimizer from the previous owner and are making a lot of improvements. Already we’ve added several new features and updates which you can see at https://abpressoptimizer.com/changelog

As to your question (again, sorry this has taken so long!) as far as my testing goes there is little to no impact on loading times using the plugin. It was recently rewritten to use ajax requests for a lot of the tracking which means things are done in the background therefore not affecting load times.

    Regards,
    Jamie
