Can I use Plugin Organizer this way?

    Groups of plugins…

    1. Enabled on image-heavy (>1) posts only
    2. Enabled on posts with audio links only
    3. Enabled on posts but not pages
    4. Enabled on search-result pages only

Using your documentation, I see how to create to plugin groups and I’ve done that. But it’s not clear to me how to use the Plugin Filters with those groups to get the result I’m looking for.

The new version which I will release soon allows you to disable/enable by group.

Now that 5.0.2 has been released with the new groups feature, how would I use it to implement the strategy above?

The groups have been added under the list of plugins on the post edit screen. You can now disable or enable plugins by group by selecting On or Off next to them just like the single plugins.

After taking a look, I see that I can now group plugins together such as ‘For Audio-oriented blog posts’ or ‘For Image-heavy blog posts’, and then turn that group on or off in the Edit Page for any relevant posts or via Plugin Filters. That makes organization a little easier and saves some time from needing to click on/off each time.

But I don’t see how I can apply a Plugin Group or even a specific Plugin Filter to a specific group of posts i.e. I don’t see how I can apply a filter to all posts but no pages.

    Is that right?

You can’t. Each post/page needs to be edited individually.

That’s too bad, but I’m still happy to have the plugin.

Consider that a feature request 🙂
