Unable to select country in shipping address

    Hi There
    I have a weird problem.
    the select option in the front end in country field in the shipping address in the checkout page is disabled for some reason.
    When I disable “use shipping method” the user can select the country.
    But that makes no sense of course….
    The issue is the same after upgrading the system and the plugin and all the theme settings.
    ( I rolled back )
    The site is backed up!

    It is not an issue. That is how its meant to work.
    Shipping country/state can only be changed from the Shipping calculator at the top of the checkout page (if shipping is used).
    Its working like that to avoid users calculating shipping for a state and then changing the shipping fields to a different state, thus avoiding to pay larger shipping rates.

    Thanks for your answer!
    But them there is another issue –
    If I select a country on the billing address – It desn’t update on the shipping address unless I check “same as billing address” and then uncheck it….
    Is there a way for it to populate as soon as I select a country?

    I don’t want to select flat rate shipping because my client needs fixed rate shipping like express and global…
