Blogger import fails with all posts 0/0

    Hi,

    I am trying to import my blogger posts to my wordpress installation. Everything goes well till authentication. It show 0/18 posts and 0/48 comments. After I click on the ‘import’ button there, both the post and comment count suddenly become 0/0 along with a ‘continue’ button present there. If I click on the ‘continue’ button, it flashes ‘importing..’ for a fraction of second and then again it shows ‘continue’.

    Finally i am not able to import anything from my blogger account. So what is the solution? why is it happening?

    One solution I’ve seen is to create a blog at wordpress.com, import from blogger there, then do Manage->Export from wordpress.COM and use that xml file to import into your new blog.

    Painful, I know.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Well, I have already tried this before posting this thread. I don’t know what went wrong! I imported blogger to my wordpress.com account and it was successfully done. ( my blog is in hindi language ), Then i exported it from there, but when i import it now in my hosted wordpress account, the encoding of the text is somehow not decodable (which was showing correctly in the wordpress.com account). But what is causing this? Can’t it be done the usual way? What’s the bug, if it is possible in the previous version of wordpress, then i’ll try in that too…suggest.

    The latest version of WordPress solved the problem. Still don’t know about the reason…!

    i am using the latest version but the problem is still there…
