    Hi,
I looked at your site and it appears that none of the feeds are able to be downloaded by SP. Has SP ever worked on your site or is this a new install. SP does not work ifthe server is behind a.proxy. Since even the SP news feed on the admin tab fails, it leads me to think that there is a config issue on your server. Can you send the SP configuration over?

    Best regards,

    Hi SP Developer,

Previously it has always worked, for some reason it just stopped working, which I do not understand. I did switch hosting providers, but immediately after switching it still worked. Which tab of the plugin would you like to see, because none of the tabs show anything strange I would say.

    Thanks.

    Hi SP Developer,

I just checked my error log and found the following errors, would that clarify anything:

no suitable wrapper could be found in /var/www/vhosts/bigdata-startups.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/syndicate-press/syndicate-press-plugin.php on line 625

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: file_get_contents(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /var/www/vhosts/bigdata-startups.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/syndicate-press/syndicate-press-plugin.php on line 625

    Hi Mark,
The log message shows the problem. Your new hosting provider has disabled http connections for the file_get_contents function. Most shared hosting companies have this disabled for security reasons.

SP has a workaround for this. On the Cache tab, select “Use download client”. Then update settings, then clear both the input and output caches.

Then try out your feeds. This should bypass the limitation on your hosting service. If it still does not work, then your hosting provider may have implemented even tighter controls.

    Mark,
The setting on the Cache tab is “Use download client”.
