Website www.npx-photo.com / using WP 2.5.1:
It seems, that all images have to be transfered to the browser and THAN the website is shown (after some seconds of waiting). Out of my view, it would be much faster, if the website (text) is shown and then the images are coming up one by one (visitors are leaving, if "nothing is happening" until the page is loaded). Is there a possibility or command to change that behavior?
Any help would be great

Also remember, there are a lot of images on your site. Look into optimizing them if you aren't yet.

@blueshift9: yes, you are right, but even with this images, it worked fine more than a year. The html text appeared at once, the pictures appeared one by one..... but starting from date x (maybe after a change of the WP version), the behavior changed: now the complete page appeares after all images have been loaded -> and this is my problem now, which I want to solv.

Stats javascript can noticeably slow website display. Also, you may need to regenerate your sitemeter code to get the xhtml version of the code.

@iridiax: the sitemeter hint was great -> I have changed the old code to the xhtml version: I think there is an improvment!

I thought the site loaded reasonably well considering how many pictures were on it. Smaller pictures in gallery mode could work too.
