Hi, have you tried setting the font colors in your email? It should use those same settings for the post.
I tried using white font on a dark background in my email client, but the font still came out black in WP. I ended up editing out the formatting in the post itself. I guess there’s no way to manipulate the incoming format.
That’s weird. Can you post an example of the formatting you had to edit out? What mail client are you using?
You could also try sending your emails as plain text — that should prevent them from arriving with any formatting at all.
I just happened to try sending as plain text and it worked well. I guess that’s my option.

I tried changing the HTML formatting in my client (outlook) but I couldn’t get the font color to actually change as received on the blog end.
Thanks for the extra info! That’s a big help — I’m trying to improve the way HTML tags are filtered. Aside from using plain text mode, you might have some luck trying from a different mail client, as well — Outlook can insert some weird stuff sometimes.
I thought about trying another client, but I post by email from work, home and mobile. And work environment locks me down to outlook so I want to keep things “constant” if you will.
If you improve this, fine! If not hey thanks for all your effort on this plugin and the functionality of it is what I’ve needed… format is the icing on the cake!
I will certainly try to fix it. 🙂 I don’t use Outlook myself so it’s a bit hit-or-miss.
