Strange behavior

I am running my dev site on windows using XAMPP.
Everything is fine on my blue host site website.
I am using version 1.7 of the plugin

My page has several compact audio players each connected to a different recording. But after I click the player the first time, every subsequent click on other players with output the same audio.

One other weirdness is that the player icon does not change to double-bars while it is playing.

There is probably nothing wrong with the plugin. I think there must be something weird about how XAMPP is running javascript.

But I thought I would post here to see is anyone has any ideas about the root cause or how to fix it?
