Modal window doesn't show up

Hello, I’ve been trying to use this plugin but when I click on the link for the modal window nothing happens.

The page has regular wp_footer and everything, still I can’t seem to make the plugin work.

You need to click on the “Iscrivetevi alla Newsletter!” button, in the top menu.

When I click on the button, nothing happens but all the page becomes “unclickable” until I reload it.

I have tried also with a simple link, but nothing changes.
