Works fine, but still disappointing

It works just fine and is easy to add recipes. My complaint, though, is that the coding is stupid. I can’t understand what persuaded the Ziplist team to use things like asterisks to bold the headers instead of just using regular HTML.

Also, their website shows some “examples” of customized recipe cards that implies the people who made the cards did it using the very basic Settings that come with the plugin. Uh…no. You CANNOT use the plugin settings to change the color scheme, move the photo alignment, or use different save recipe/print recipe buttons. You have to understand the CSS in order to do that. And even if you DO understand CSS enough to edit it, it won’t help you because they didn’t include the codes you need to change anything.

Apparently if you contact them asking for the codes, they will gladly hand them over for free, assuming they answer AT ALL. Since getting them to answer inquiries is a common complaint, I’m going to hedge a guess that it won’t get you anywhere. But if the codes are free, anyway, then I don’t understand why they don’t just GIVE US THE CODES TO BEGIN WITH.

Ziplist is the only recipe plugin I’ve been able to use successfully and with ease, so far, but I am still really disappointed with it.
