Login Redirect Issue / Sidebar works, Dropdown Menu link doesn't

I use TML and BAW LoginLogout(to put a login widget in my sidebar)and Paid Memberships Pro
When a subscriber/member logs in, they’re supposed to be redirected to the members area
When, using a test subscriber account, I login via the BAW LoginLogout sidebar widget, the redirect to the members area works.
When I use the main menu to access a member page and get redirected to the login page, once I log in with my test subscriber account, I redirect to my WP Dashboard and Profile – not the homepage.
I’ve gone into TML User Links and made sure that “subscribers” are supposed to be redirected to my homepage.
Any ideas as to why?
