Can I have sticky posts that are always on the front page/

Hi

Love the look, so much that I want to dispense with the menu and use just the circles – it’s a web site with articles more than a live blog.

Is there a way to have say 5 core pages always on the front / home page, with the rest of the circles? I can get my head around making my core pages into posts, but not how to pin them in place.
