If you are literally using the greater than and less that signs when entering an email address, leave them off.
Company Name <admin@companyname.com> on From field
This is OK. What do you see in the From field in actual mail you recieve?
It somehow appears as somethibg else instead. When I receive the email its from Admin instead. Doesn’t seem to follow what I put in “from field”.
OK. Try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme. Probably one of them is interrupting.
Ohokayy. But I would want to use my own theme. No other ways to resolve?
THE MAIL we RECEIVE from our Contact Form has extra characters we don’t want—we want a really simple, clear header, something like:
” From: webccontact@ourdomain.com “
—-
But instead we get:
” WordPress <[webcontact@ourdomain.com]> “
We really need to get rid of the Brackets and the “WordPress” —What do we need to do to get a super clean “from” address to show up in our email?
Does that make sense?
