    Hello,
    Have been using duplicator on other site for awhile, without an issue, but I’m scratching my head on this one.

    I took over a website for an old client and loaded up 0.5.2 on it:
    WP 3.8.1
    PHP 5.3.28

    Ran a scan and it threw an error (listed below). Turned off the scan, and the package completed. Log file shows no errors.

    This is the scan error I got:

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'UnexpectedValueException' with message 'DirectoryIterator::__construct(/home/sitename/public_html/cgi-bin) [<a href='directoryiterator.--construct'>directoryiterator.--construct</a>]: failed to open dir: Permission denied' in /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php:108 Stack trace: #0 /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(108): DirectoryIterator->__construct('/home/sitename/...') #1 /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(117): DUP_Archive->runDirStats('/home/sitename/...') #2 /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(87): DUP_Archive->runDirStats('/home/sitename/...') #3 /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/views/actions.php(63): DUP_Archive->GetStats() #4 [internal function]: duplicator_package_scan('') #5 /home/sitename/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(429): call_user_func_array('duplicat in /home/sitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php on line 108

    Any ideas? File/Folder permissions look good all the way through.

    Thanks!

  • Hey catholicservant,

    Thanks for the feedback! If you can give the developer version a try it may have your fixes for the issue your seeing. The very latest version (0.5.3) can be found by following these instructions:

    -> Browse to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/duplicator/developers/
    -> Look for the section “Other Versions”
    -> Click on “Development Version” and download the zip plugin file
    -> Uninstall your current version and install this one
    -> Note: This is a development line version so please test in your sandbox first to make sure you have no issues…

    This should be fixed for the scanner. Let me know if this solves your issue…

    Thanks

    I am having the sdame issue but the above solution does not resolve my issue

    Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘UnexpectedValueException’ with message ‘DirectoryIterator::__construct(/home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/uploads/2012) [directoryiterator.–construct]: failed to open dir: Permission denied’ in /home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php:108 Stack trace: #0 /home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(108): DirectoryIterator->__construct(‘/home/winw/ther…’) #1 /home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(117): DUP_Archive->runDirStats(‘/home/winw/ther…’) #2 /home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(117): DUP_Archive->runDirStats(‘/home/winw/ther…’) #3 /home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php(117): DUP_Archive->runDirStats(‘/home/winw/ther…’) #4 /home/win in /home/winw/theretiringbusinessowner.com/wp-content/plugins/duplicator/classes/package.archive.php on line 108

    Hey aspitters,

    The error being thrown doesn’t seem to match the line number in latest code base found in the developers version. Are you sure you downloaded the developer version?

    If you do have the very latest and your still seeing this issue then you can submit a support ticket by going to lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator and looking for the lifeinthegrid link and I can look closer at your setup. It may be a few days before I can actually troubleshoot…

    Thanks~

    Here you go

    Hey Aspitters,

    I assume your package was created successfully? Also be sure to not post these logs to the public forums (as it states in the log file at the top).

    This log contains sensitive information. Be sure you remove this package set from your system as it allows anyone to browse to your server and get your entire site.

    Cheers~

    Can you remove this form the form? I can not seem to edit this

    I still can not do the scan

    I can’t delete it, only forum moderators can… however if you remove the packages that that log shows being creating you should be fine. Lets try and work this issue out on the ticket you created vs trying to do it in both places. If you need to create a new ticket feel free to do that or use the last ticket we were working on…

    Thanks!

    Hey @manoj29076,

    This is the wrong thread for that question. I would post it over here.

    Cheers~
