Latest in category & random comic from just one chapter

    I’m trying to do something that I don’t think is in the ComicPress theme, so I hope the following questions are not inappropriate for this forum.

    Because I have 3 contributors to my ComicPress site, I’m intending to use a slider as a 3-slide navigation device for a static front page. (The slider page is currently not my home page, and can be seen at http://www.pengrenades.com/meta-slider-trial-page/.

    My first goal is accomplished: the slide titled “Brian’s Latest Comic” links to my latest comic.

    My second goal is not working. I’m trying to link the slide titled “Dan’s Latest Post” to the latest blog post from the category dan-schubarth-blog, tag_ID=11.

    The third goal also eludes me. I’m trying to link the slide “Justin’s Random Comic” to a random comic within just a single chapter, the chapter titled justin-green-comics, tag_ID=4. (I don’t want any of Brian’s comics to show up for Justin’s fans.)

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    The random only in chapter is an option in one of the configs

    /?latest=#

    # = chapter ID of the chapter you want to go to the latest comic of

    and these are comic easel questions, not comicpress
