Alright, well, I should preface this by saying that I have a cornucopia of issues with my site that need addressed. If these are simple problems that are brought up on the board quite frequently, I do apologize. I'm quite new to WordPress and PHP (actually just a few hours of playing with it today), so I've found myself immersed in a completely foreign territory.

With that said, here is my progress so far with the site:

    http://www.planesfillingwithchildren.com

I'll just go through the list of things I need help with...
+ First of all, how do I remove the line of text "Pidgin in the Vista Sidebar?" from the header? It's been annoying me to no end.
+ How do I increase the width of the content table? I tweaked style.css where ever it seemed fit but I see no change.
+ How do I add a date and time stamp below a post's title? Once again, I thought I found the field but there is no change. (Yes, I am saving, checked numerous times)
+ How do I remove the bulletin next to "pages?" (or above, depending on your browser)
+ In Safari, the content table is aligned to the left while the header and footer are both where they're supposed to be. How do I correct this? Not having that problem with any other browser.
+ How do I set up an Archive page?
+ And finally, I have fatal error galore in the footer under "recent comments." The problem appears to be in line 14 of index_bottom.php_and again in bottom_single.php on the same line as well.

I realize this is quite a breadth of questions. I've looked all over for answers, but to no avail. Perhaps I'm just completely inept. I don't know. Either way, I greatly appreciate any help provided.

If it is of any further help, here's the link to the theme I'm working with:

Additionally, is there anything that can be done to make the search box fit correctly in IE and FireFox? It works just fine in Safari.
