Displayin ‘read more’ and maximum characters

Hi Everyone,

I am very new to wordpress and have spent the past few weeks getting use to it and learning.

Anyway, I have a simple question. How do I restrict my blog posts to a certain number of characters and then have it display something along the lines of “Click here to read full article” and when click it opens the full article?

As of right now it is just displaying my full posts on the page, you can see it here

To be more precise, I am just wanting something simple like this blog. Notice how his blogs are only 2 paragraphs then they stop and hit a read more link.

I am sure this is easy but I cant quite figure it out, thanks for your time.
