Critical – Internal Looping Error, huge spikes

I’m currently facing following under noted problems:

1. Internal Recursion Error: This reports looping error for the following two IPs:
a. 24.227.93.163
b. 66.249.70.40

2. My own server IP is hitting Apache server badly with 5000+ hits.
3. Huge spikes, just kill everything.

I had contacted my web hosting company, they’ve reported the “internal recursion & my own ip hitting apache” is due wp-cron.php file. The have disables wp-cron.php and the Internal Recursion Error is no more there. But the spike and my server ip continously hitting apache with 5000+ hits.

I’ve generated serverlog and it shows some query that’s run by wp-cron.php, but are one year old.

I’m not running any wp-cron related functions and even posting is done using Desktop Blog Editor “Blogjet”.
