• I’m migrating from a single instance version of WordPress, which has permalinks of /%postname%.html but Multisite defaults to the WordPress /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ structure

How can I ensure that my old permalinks are mapped properly over to the new structure?

.htaccess redirects mostly. Or you can change the permalinks to /%postname%.html

(.htaccess you would just redirect /%postname%.html to /%postname%/ and yes, WP is smart enough to traverse for you)

    thanks for the response Mika

From what I’ve read and seen, I cannot change the permalinks under WordPress Multisite. The codex also states this is a “feature to be released in the future”

Are you suggesting that I *can* change the permalinks in Multisite?
