Domain.com (single instance) to Domain.com (Multisite instance)

    I’m having problems going from domain.com to domain.com

    the first instance is a normal, single instance installation of WordPress.

    But the new host of domain.com (which isn’t live yet), is going to be a Multisite installation.

    As I’m importing from the first instance into the multisite instance, it’s giving me “failed to import media” errors for all my files.

    How can I fix this?

    You cannot import from domain.com into domain.com. You’ll be attempting to create a loopback. At least one of your two sites will need to be switched over to & using a temporary url. If it’s the older site, then you will also need to create anew export file.
