Why does my animated .gif image look awful?

Thanks to all the wonderful postings on how to load up and align images, I have managed to do a lot from scrolling through previous posts.

If anyone could have a look at my blog

why my image (animated gif) under the websites of interest heading, in the side bar looks terrible it would be much appreciated.
