Employee Bios are not publicly accessible

    Hi,

    On the employee directory it appears that user bios can’t viewed without checking the “Check roles to allow access to detailed profile page; ” option in admin user profile area. Since there is no public option, no bios can viewed without being logged into the site under some sort of user role. Am I missing something here? Can’t the bios be viewed without being logged in?

    That is correct. We designed this for intranet use, so user information, especially personal biographies, remain private behind a login. Our paid upgrade is also fully oriented towards private site use.

    Hi Chris,
    Well, just wanted to let you know that after more clients request like yours, I’ve added the ability to make the directory profile details public (in Your Profile area when logged in as admin). This is reflected in version 2.4 of Simple Intranet Directory, so hope you like it! 🙂
