• Hi Frederick and thanks for a great plugin!

I’m using it on this site and it works really well, except for the gzip part. Google Pagespeed, Yslow etc all says my minified files are not gziped.

I have searched and searched for a solution the past weeks but haven’t been able to find one, so now I’m addressing you.

I have spoken to my host and they say that it should work on their servers.

So now I’m wondering: What info do you need from me? Would be great to get this to work!

Thanks again for a wonderful plugin!

    same here.

Ditto. I’ve even added the mod_deflate code for Apache directly into my .htaccess file, to no avail. (UPDATE: this method actually seems to have helped a little. See this thread.) If enabling gzip compression requires some kind of further action beyond just installing and activating the W3TC plugin, that’s fine, but it needs to be better documented.

    Ok, some more info:

The html content of the page seems to be gziped, but the minified files are not. So, it seems compression works, just not for minified files. What can I do to enable this?

I’m also wondering if this plugin is still maintained? Seems to be very hard to get an answer here?
