Hi, this is happening to my custom post type.

I create a new widget in the widgets page and add it to a sidebar, then I go to an existing post to edit, go to the Page Widgets section, and the plugin I just created is not there.

The settings reading “Default (follow Widgets settings)” and “Customize” are set for Customize. When I change that setting to Default and save the post, then the widget shows up.

Is this supposed to work this way? If I set it up to Default wouldn’t that reset my settings in any way? It works as I want with pages, but I need this to work also on my custom post type.

I’m probably missing something, can anyone please advise?

    Thanks!

I’m not sure I understood you correctly. It looks like you’ve set some rukles for a widget, I guess default not to shop up (Setting: No). When you want the widget to appear for a specific post, you have to tick the box at the post edit screen for DW. Basically to make it for tht specific post an exception.
