I am not so sure this is THEME related.
I used the EXPORT tool which created a .json file so move my custom tweaks from one website to another. I found it was not a good idea for the second website. Now I can’t get rid of it.
Deleting and uploading and installing the theme and then updating the theme has the import still lingering. Deleting custom css, reinstalling WP none of it works. The import lingers and messes lots of stuff up.

Is there some way to solve this issue. Been working on it for 3 days now to no avail
    Thanx

Do you have access to FTP on your server? Or something like cPanel so you can get into the root of your site (to see your files/folders)?

You should be able to delete the .json file – I wouldn’t know where it is uploaded to, but the reason WordPress remains the same is because it’s still loading information from that file.

Thanx for the reply. Yeah, that was the first thing I looked for and found it in the uploads/ folder and deleted it. I did a search and no .json on the server. But thanx…
Do you think the WP update sucks and I should delete the whole thing and install WP fresh?
The thing is, its all fine with my zip of the older theme, but when I update the theme it all comes back. Something about updating?

IT was me being stupid. The lingering effects were in the DB which I never deleted…
