    Hello!

I have followed the instructions on the PMPro web page on how to translate the different emails into another language.
I have made new folders in my active theme: paid-memberships-po/emails and have transferred the translated email html-files to this folder (and made all the files/folders 777).

I must admid that I am new to html-coding, but I have done the editing of the email-templates in Word, stayed clear of coded-stuff (I think) and saved the new html-files as “web-page, filtered”

But the confirmation email that are beeing sent out are still in English.
Does any of you have any idea of what I am doing wrong?

I am very greatful for any reply 🙂

  • Did you check the typos?
The folder you have mentioned is paid-memberships-po/emails
    make sure it is “/paid-memberships-pro/emails/”

In addition to your translations, I am about to do the same and maybe I can share my experience to you after testing.

Do you know how to initiate the email test without actually going all checkout or purchase process?

    Cheers.

@maritk, also, you shouldn’t use Microsoft Word for editing HTML files. If you’re on a PC, then use NotePad or WordPad (should be in your Accessories folder under All Programs). On a Mac, use TextEdit. Word creates bloated and almost-unusable “HTML”.

Yes, sorry that was just a spelling mistake. The folders names are paid-memberships-pro/emails.

I will try to edit the files in Notepad, and see if I have any more luck. Thank you for that tip! I will let you know how I am doing 🙂

And no, I haven’t found any other way to test if the emails are working, other than actually doing the purchase and checkout-process.

Yes, using Notepad instead of Word worked 🙂

So changing the html-files translated most of the emails-text. But some of the sentences remained in English (e.g. subject-field). These I used the plugin “Codestyling localization” to translate.
