Not sure if this is a feature or a bug, but similar to the log out issue I posted earlier with Limit Login Attempts, if you enter the correct credentials but get the Captcha wrong, it counts against you as a Login Attempt and ticks down until you’re locked out.

It used to tell you the captcha was wrong without counting against you. Again not sure if this is a problem with how Limit Login Attempts does their plugin or how you handle Captcha Attempts but it’s there.

  • Hi,

yes, we know about it. It occurs due to the fact that we changed the captcha error output the level higher. Previously the user|password were checked, and only after that captcha was checked. Now captcha is checked first and then the rest of the data. It increases the data protection level.

Taking into account this fact, Limit Login Attempts plugin detects the error on the step of logging in the admin panel and considers it as an incorrect login attempt. Actually, it is so, since it is an attempt to log in the admin panel and you enter the captcha incorrectly, that’s why we do not think it a bug.

    Sincerely,
