Can’t get custom header to load. I am using a localhost to assemble. 2014 theme lets me load header, but nothing else. Have image cropped to stipulated size, use the header tab, and nothing shows on site.

  • this might be a problem with your localhost configuration. i’ve tested the header on various servers and got feedback from various users. none of them had any problem with the header. did you test it on a functional server and it had the same problems?

Also note that if you enable slider, then nothing will show up, so if you simply want to activate the custom header, make sure that you have the slider option unchecked. Let me know if the problem was fixed.

I guess that fixed the problem.

Same problem here. The image shows in admin (customize.php), but does not appear on site.

hi, can you show me your site?

    What is your email?

ok i found what the “problem” is. When i made the theme, i made the header or the slider to appear ONLY to the homepage that has blog posts. If you change the homepage with the blog posts to a page for example, the slider or the header disappears and that’s something that i did it on purpose when i designed the theme. I modified your your theme and now the slider or the header will appear in the pages as well. I guess it’s something that i might include in the next theme update if it’s something that most people want it or i’ll place an option in the theme settings panel.
