What up with ::selection ?

    created child theme (not much, a few tweeks to css)
    header image did not show up in IE11 on Windows 8
    Deleted the “::selection” from the main theme css and it worked

    so….

    what’s up with ::selection?
    if it going to prevent the header from showing (even in IE), why have it?

    The “::selection” CSS rule controls the highlight color of selected text on the website. AFAIK, IE 11 supports it, so I’m not sure why its presence or lack thereof would prevent your header image from being displayed. Could you post a link to your website?

    hmm, hold up a sec, now today the header is gone again in IE…fine in Chrome and FF
