Upgrade botched !

Hi all

Have a feeling that I have cocked the upgrade up !

I still have the database that holds the posts. And the theme. And the htaccess files with the permalink info in it.

Copied all new files up and replaced the cinfig smaple with my own but it isn’t having it.

What would I lose if I did a complete reinstall and hooked it up to the database?
