Is there a way to force a user to change their password on first login with this plugin?

I’m worried that using it with expirepassword ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/expirepassword/ ) will cause issues

No, LSS doesn’t have that feature. If the other plugin follows WP’s architecture and hooks into the right actions/filters, there shouldn’t be any conflicts.
