Support » Fixing WordPress » All subfolders from root URL go back to home page

  • Registered URL that points to our wordpress install won’t follow any subpaths added to the root URL.
ex. http://www.mysite.com/page1 will always drop the user back to http://www.mysite.com
once in the site all links work perfectly.
If you go to the website by the name of the local system all works well.
    ex. localhost.com/page1 ….
This is a multisite WordPress install on an IIS8 server. At first I thought it was just the subsites that weren’t working, but if you type in any of the subpages after the URL it always goes back to the home page. I am sure I am just missing something related to how the site responds to browser requests, but I just don’t know where to look.

I guess it wouldn’t hurt to actually give our site URL for reference.

    http://www.me.vt.edu/faculty

You will notice that the site goes back to the home page and displays the actual name of the system the site is installed on.

    Thanks
