• Hi folks. My own WP installation (www.hardrockblog.it/index.php) since yesterday redirects all the traffic to the infamous wp-stats-php site, which contains badware.
I tried everything: i upgraded to latest version (mine was 2.5), i changed db, i made a fresh install, i looked into the db for malicious code, but nothing, the problem remains. What else can i do? I’m really desperate

  • One of my sites has this problem too. I too would love to have an answer.

yes, me too. i already was on 2.5 still i have the same problem and cannot access the site anymore. also admin access is stopped.
anyone some idea how to find where the bad code with the redirections has been inserted?

    thanks
    roderich

search in your pages (view-source) for the infamous site…. that should show you where it is, has been easy to clean in my case.

My suggestion is that you look through the theme that you use. There’s little use to change databases or install WP anew when you still use a compromised theme.

JoeMerchant, Is that so? Then why is your site still hacked?

    1. you have fuckall spam links in your source.
    2. You still have the stats hack.

Youre going to KEEP getting hacked until you do the responsible and intelligent thing, and upgrade.
