• Hello Friends.

I´m running a wordpress blog and online store with wordpress and woocommerce. The problem is that google doesn’t like the product pages generated by woocommerce for some reason. let me explain why:

When I write an article for the blog or a traditional wordpress page, that article gets a very good ranking and appears on the first page of google search results (at least on my country or language). However, when I post a product to woocommerce, the product page doesn’t shows on the google search, not even on the 10th page or more.

Some background: Im running wordpress 3.7.1 with woocommerce 2.0.20. The website was a hobby blog with electronics related stuff. Now I´m selling gadgets related to the content I used to produce.
We migrated to a new domain about a 5 months ago. The site visits seems fine and are in fact rising because now I´m distributor of important companies on our niche and they are linking to our site main page.
None of the pages generated by woocommerce are generating important traffic.

I really need some light on this mater, because I don´t understand why the page rankings are so different or why my products are not indexed as I expect.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Kira,
I am having exactly the same problem – website is indexing perfectly, but google is just not playing ball with woocommerce product pages.

Not sure what to do either, so any help from others would be greatly received!

    Thanks
    James

I’m having the same problem. Google hasn’t even indexed my product pages. They have only indexed my regular pages and some tags. I could understand if products rank poorly because most if not all of the content is likely not unique. However, why aren’t the products at least indexed?

I’m about to launch a new WooCommerce site and I’m very interested in this issue. It sounds like a deal breaker.

Update: Google has indexed my product pages. It just takes time. They don’t index everything at once. They wait and go back for more at a later time.
