single-event.php not replacing default event detail page

    As per the instructions you provide, I created a “single-event.php” template copied from my theme’s single.php file, to remove some elements such as comments and so forth. However the plugin is not using this template file to display single event details.

    hi,

    try to set your events page to post at Events > Settings > Pages > Events Page > Display events as =Post
