Latest update causes site to stay in maintenance mode

    I just did the automatic update to two of my clients sites hosted on LunarPages. In both cases, after the update, the sites went and stayed in maintenance mode. Going anywhere in the sites would bring up the following message:

    Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

    This needs to be fixed. Immediately.

    OK, I found the solution was to go to the server and delete the .maintenance file. However, that shouldn’t be necessary. It isn’t for other plugins because I also updated Contact Form 7 which didn’t cause this issue. Someone at WOW needs to look into this.
