• All in all if you are looking to set up a member section on your site and want to hide content this is worth a look.

There are a lot of other plugins that do this but they require you to pony up quite a bit of cash to get the same basic functionality. If you are a relatively new user this plugin is designed to be user friendly. The settings pages are straight forward and blend perfectly with the WordPress admin interface. Hats off to the developer for not making a separate WordPress admin menu but rather nesting the plugin settings where they should belong, under the settings menu.

If you know what you are doing and like to dabble with code, this plugin is highly extensible and has extensive documentation. Although I would like to see a feature for hiding the admin toolbar for logged in users and a redirect for default admin pages based on the user role, it in no way deterred me from using this plugin. Those items were easily handled with a few additions to the functions file.

Note: If you are using this plugin also take a look at the WordPress Access Control plugin. I found that these two plugins together unlocked some serious power on the WordPress back end.
