TML Fatal error: (…) /custom-redirection.php on line 93

    Hi there,

    I get this message when calling the TML shortcode with a non-existent username:
    ========
    Fatal error: Call to a member function get_option() on a non-object in /(…)/wp-content/plugins/theme-my-login/modules/custom-redirection/custom-redirection.php on line 93
    =========

    I use last versions of WordPress, Buddypress and TML. Custom redirection module enabled.

    I call the TML login form through shortcodes only. In some situations, when calling it with a non-existent username, it reacts correctly (no username/passwd found, etc.). But in other situations (shortcode called from another page, but difference previous case not clear), it gets to this fatal error…

    I have spent a couple of hours but don’t understand what happens. Any idea to help me through?

    Hi there,

    I had the same issue recently. I search for some solution in the forum and got this answer. I tried to locate line 93 in the code but it doesn’t show any code regarding the error. Later, I tried to comment line 185 instead which has the get_option function that caused the error and it works.

    However, same as Synaestesia who answered on the above link, I also didn’t know if this will have affect another functionality in the TML. Looking forward if anyone has better solution. 🙂

    thanks for the tip! I did the same as you and @synaestesia did and it actually avoids the crash, most important.

    Maybe @jfarthing84 (or someone else) will come back with a more elegant turnaround 😉 since it seems a recurring (and somehow hurting) problem. I let this topic open just in case.

    Btw, your site looks great! good idea to have side-by-side login/registration forms. Most obvious!
