• I’m loving this plugin, but it looks like whenever I enable compressed files, it white screens my site after about five minutes. It’s consistent. I’m building sites off the Roots starter theme, and I’m hosting them on my own VPS (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS).

I know in the settings of WP Super Cache it says some hosting providers might have problems with the compressed files/pages, but since this is my own server at Linode, that shouldn’t apply to me.

Does anyone have ideas on this? If I keep that setting off, the plugin works without issue, but I want compressed pages.

    Thanks!

    Some pointers to troubleshoot this…

    – Check your web server’s error log
    – Check PHP log

If you don’t find anything in them, enable debugging in WP and check WP log at wp-content/debug.log

If you still can’t find any errors, enable debugging in PHP and in your web server (Apache?). Both are not meant to show debugging info by default.

    I hope that helps.
